Sauna Etiquette & Rules

Medical Fitness & Suitability

While sauna bathing and cold-water immersion offer numerous health benefits, they may not be suitable for everyone. Your safety is our priority, and we recommend consulting your GP or healthcare provider if you have any concerns about participating.

Please do not use the sauna or cold plunge if you

· Have high or low blood pressure or any heart or circulatory disorders.
· Have been diagnosed with epilepsy or diabetes.
· Are currently pregnant.
· Are prone to dizziness or fainting.

Have any other serious medical conditions, such as respiratory disorders, kidney disease, or other chronic illnesses that may be affected by heat or cold exposure.
These guidelines are in place to ensure your safety, as sauna and cold therapy can significantly affect circulation, body temperature, and overall stress response.

Important Notes

· If you have any major illnesses or medical concerns not listed above, please consult your GP or healthcare provider before booking.
· All guests must take personal responsibility for their participation and agree not to push themselves beyond their comfort level.
· Wild Ritual does not provide medical advice or supervision and cannot assess individual suitability.
· Waiver and Terms & Conditions:
· By making a booking, whether individually or as part of a group, you confirm that you and all members of your party understand and agree to our Terms & Conditions, including the medical fitness requirements.
· A waiver form must be signed or agreed to electronically as part of the booking process. Everyone added to a group booking is also deemed to have accepted these terms.

Please Note: We do not accept bookings for guests under the age of 16.
Sauna Rules

General Guidelines:

· All guests use the sauna and cold plunge at their own risk.
· Swimwear is mandatory throughout your session and while on-site. Nudity is not permitted.
· Avoid wearing jewellery, particularly metallic or dangling items, to reduce the risk of burns. Swimsuits with metal fastenings are also discouraged.
· Wild Ritual is not responsible for lost or damaged items. Electronic devices should not be brought into the sauna.
· Be considerate and respectful to other guests.

Sauna & Cool Down

· Sauna Sessions: We recommend spending no more than 15 minutes at a time in the sauna, followed by cooling off.
· Cold Plunge: If you choose to use the plunge pools, please rinse off beforehand. A few seconds can provide benefits, but we recommend a maximum of 5 minutes. Avoid submerging your head and use the provided water for cooling instead. Always ensure someone is present when you use the plunge pools.
· Cooling in the Sea: Cooling off in the sea is at your own discretion, and you are responsible for ensuring conditions are safe and suitable. Wild Ritual does not provide lifeguards.
· Contrast Therapy: Repeating heat and cold cycles (contrast therapy) is beneficial, but we recommend no more than 2-3 cycles per session.
· Listen to Your Body: Everyone’s tolerance to heat and cold varies. Avoid overheating or overexertion.

Zero Tolerance Policy

Wild Ritual maintains a zero-tolerance approach to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests:

· We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone deemed a health and safety risk or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
· Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. Guests displaying such behaviour will be asked to leave without a refund.
· Glass bottles are strictly prohibited in the sauna or plunge pool areas.

Staff-Only Areas

· Guests are not permitted to refuel or adjust the sauna stove. Please speak to a Sauna Master if adjustments are needed.
· Only water provided by Wild Ritual may be poured onto the stove, and this will be done by the Sauna Master to ensure safety. When steam is released, guests are advised to remain seated, as the heat will intensify.

Sauna Etiquette

To ensure a pleasant and relaxing experience for all, we kindly ask guests to follow these guidelines:

· Remove shoes before entering the sauna.
· Wash feet in the water bath provided before entering.
· Keep the sauna door closed to maintain heat.
· Saunas are a place for relaxation, keep conversations quiet and avoid disturbing others.
· Ensure you are changed and ready to leave within your allocated time slot.
